PLEASE SEE BELOW INFORMATION FROM DONALD BEASLEY INSTITUTE RE DISABLED PERSON-LED MONITORING OF HEALTH AND WELLBEING RESEARCH – PLEASE REGISTER URGENTLY IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FOCUS GROUP RESEARCH – THE SURVEY IS OPEN FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS THOUGH:

This is a friendly reminder that today 8th July is the last day for registering interest in a focus group for Phase One of the Disabled Person-Led Monitoring of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (health and wellbeing).

Phase One of this monitoring research invites disabled people and their family/whānau to have their say on what health and wellbeing rights violations/ issues they think should be monitored in the next cycle of monitoring. The main way to participate in Phase One is by filling out a short survey. All people can take part in the survey, which will remain open until Friday 24th of July 2020. Accessible formats of the survey can also be found on our website.

However, we also know there are some groups of people who are less likely to participate in monitoring research. To ensure that their feedback is documented as well, we are hosting a small number of focus groups with underrepresented populations. Disabled people and their family/whānau can register their interest in a focus group by filling out this form: https://qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2lBbwlMqJiHSZZH

Alternatively, accessible formats of this form can be found on our website, where interest can be registered by email, phone, video, or by post. Please note, registration of interest must be completed by the end of today, 8th of July 2020.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Umi Asaka or Dr Robbie Francis on 03-479 2162
